Mercury Marine is a company with a rich history, which marked many achievements at various stages of its existence.
Like many suspension manufacturers, the company, under its logo, offers two- and four-stroke Mercury outboard engines and two-stroke outboards with direct injection of fuel into the high-pressure combustion chambers. At Mercury, this system is called OptiMax.
The company has several factories around the world, including a joint factory in Japan with Tohatsu Corporation. The joint venture is called Tohatsu Marine Corporation.
Mercury Marine Company was founded in 1939. It all started with the fact that engineer Carl Kiekhaefer acquired a small company for the production of outboard motors.
The modern Mercury brand is used on outboard motors, in Racing, MerCruiser divisions, Mariner outboard motors (the same Mercury, but sold in different markets, and to increase sales, can also be sold on one), spare parts and accessories Precision Parts and Accessories, spare parts and Quicksilver oils and some others.
Like the Bombardier company, which currently owns the Johnson and Evinrude brands, the Brunswick group of companies is more than other companies faced with the stringent environmental requirements for harmful emissions introduced in 2006, which apply to the territories of these companies and countries where their main consumers are located products.
The main focus of Mercury was forced to make the production of four-stroke outboard engines and two-stroke direct injection OptiMax.
It should be noted that relatively recently, Mercury Marine introduced four-stroke hangers of its own production of the Verado series from 135 to 350 hp on the market.
